By Dean Schwartz – Over the past several weeks, we’ve written quite a few posts about uniforms and corporate t-shirts – and our unending effort to make them not suck. Well, this week we’re talking about the fabrics from which we choose to make our shirts – and making sure that those don’t suck, either.
For starters, did you know there are 14,000 styles of t-shirts from which to choose? You’ll want to know the difference between them, but let’s face it – do you really have time for that? Of course not – and that’s what we’re here for.
We’ll work with you to get an idea of what exactly your priority is. For example, 100 percent cotton t-shirts are often made from less expensive and less refined cotton, making it the most affordable – but also the least form-fitting or comfortable option, too. That’s important to know. If you’re on a budget, guess what? 100 percent cotton might be the best bet for you. If quality and a higher-end brand experience are the goal, then you may want to go the ringspun route – that means the cotton has been through a process that softens and firms-up the cotton fibers of the shirt. Done yet? Almost. Once you determine your style of cotton, now you’ve got to pick weight, and this is also crucial to the fit and comfort of your shirt. Again, consider who you expect to use it and consider your climate, too. Very light t-shirts are typically around 3.0 ounces, where a standard weight shirt is 5.3 ounces. Warmer seasons and functions lend themselves to lighter shirts, and vice versa. The best part? We’ve think of all of this, and many of our competitors might not. In addition, we’re a full service design team, meaning that once you pick your style of shirt, we can come up with an original, on-brand look to finish it off. That’s the SOBO Concepts difference, and we deliver it to every client. Call us at 1-888-752-0432 to get the right fit on your next promotional t-shirt!
